Dear Mr. Edmond Fernandes,
I quote your words: of article: TO THAT GOD WHO, AS ST PAUL WROTE, ”SPARED NOT HIS OWN SON.” Unquote. I donot know what meaning you made to the context of your quote. As per my perception, Jesus came down from heaven not to save himself from the death but to sacrifice himself as a ransom for many. Lord God promised us in the beginning itself that He will provide us salvation through His Son. I quote. Genesis: 3: 15. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Unquote. Here the word of God says her seed/genealogy will bruise the head of evil. Our Lord Jesus Christ defeated the world. In the Old Testament the sin offering was of the blood of an animal or the birds. I quote: Leviticus16: 15. Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat: 16. And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness. I quote John chapter 1:29. The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Unquote. When Abraham about to sacrifice his own son (Isaac) God was pleased with the sacrifice and said I will provide (Genesis 22:12-14) and at the same time he provided a ram but later Jesus came at His own will: Prophet Isaiah sees a vision and says : Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. Jesus came down from heaven to sacrifice himself on the cross to save whole humanity from the sins of mankind. Matthew20: 28. Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."The suffering, crucifixion, death was predicted by Jesus while he walked on this planet and sacrificed himself on the cross for my sins and for the sins of the world. The high priest Caiaphas who was an antagonist of Jesus says I quote: John 11:50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. Caiphas was a evil person but even though a prophesy comes out from his mouth through the word of God that a man should die for all of us/for all our sins to save us from the sin. I quote: 1 John 1: 7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Some of the people confuse here that Jesus cleansed us all of us from the sins that means we have no sin but can enter kingdom of heaven. We are all cleansed and saved from the Original sin of the beginning of the human-kind.
If you have any doubt about the Holy Bible I will be an encouragement and source of information through the Holy Scriptures of the Holy Bible.
Have nice days ahead in the light of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ and may God bless you.
